I live 4 miles from Matt and graduated from high school with his father in 1963. They are great people ! Like Matt told the girls, it"s a show, Some of the show is is real and some of it is hokie. They will buck bales in one of the show"s coming up. Matt is buying about 100 acres, but his dad"s family owns about 1700 acres and rents the rest. Matt farms with his dad but works out with a local contractor doing home repairs when it"s not farming season. His not an actor but has a great personality. The reason most of the filming was not done on his dads farm was because his aunt was afaired that someone would get hurt and it would cause some trouble,
The first 800 acres, the grandpa bought was in the 1947 flood by a john boat and most had to be cleared up to even farm it.
This family are a hard working people and their equipment is cherry from the 1964 4020, 8410T and 9750 combine. We are proud of this boy, not many around like him ! He in St. Louis the show is on CW11, 8:00 pm, Wednesday nights.
