I had a local landscaper friend come in and hydro-seed this lot last week, spraying the seed mixed with water,shredded paper mulch, & fertilizer. Its a common method around here, especially by highway depts.
It's quick and not too expensive but I'm noticing all seed is not in good contact and the sparrows do get at it. A hand roller and hay much might have been better but a lot more work.
I almost wish it would stay like this, green and no mowing !
