That's what is so stupid about the "stimulus" package. A few bucks is not going to bring us out of this recession (yes we are in one, the govt just won't admit it). Most people will pay taxes, bills or just put it in the tank. The rise in gas in just the last few weeks will eat up more than what the govt is handing out for most people who drive any distance at all or who own more than 1 car.
What burns my butt is the amount of money that the govt throws out to foreign countries in aid. I also support the idea of sending Iraq an invoice every month for our military support over there. We'll take it in oil, thank you very much. :D
