Fuel is $4 gallon, nitrogen is $700 per ton, phosphate fertilizer is $1200 per ton. Every input has gone up 2-300% in the last 1-1/2 years, so those "high" grain prices are gobbled up real quick. Pasture takes darn little inputs to produce a crop of grass.
