Peanuts are 'dug' first with a machine behind the tractor that digs them out of the ground and turns the peanuts up and the vines down while combining two rows together. They are left to dry after digging before be thrashed with a peanut combine. These are either self propelled or pull behind combines that remove the nuts from the vine.
