The original top link pin was very short with a flat strap welded at an anle to clear leaf spring. I regular short top link pin will work if you grind a flat side on the head to clear spring. Some times when the lift does not respond at all it is because of a large check valve sticks open. This valve is located just under the seat under a hex plug. Use a 1 1/16 wrench to remove this plug then remove spring and large hollow valve. Clean valve nad bore then reinstall. Hope this helps.
