Not wise to put new pistons in a old hole. Pistons will "wear into" a bore and adding new ones into a honed bore will end up with less than a satisfactory outcome. Everything depends on the specs and how much wear was in the old holes. Honing is suppose to produce a scratched crosshatch finish as this alows the new rings to seat so this alone doesn't mean much. How much are you going to use the tractor and how hard are you going to push it? Longevity will come with new pistons and a new bore. A weekend tractor will most likely be fine with a hone and re-ring using the old pistons if everything is within perameters for wear
