When you look down at the pump, there is a cover with 6 bolts holding the cover down on the rear top of the pump. Take this cover off and you will seea threaded rod that goes from rear back into the front of the pump.
On this threaded shaft there is a crowfoot that points downwards. Loosen the rear nut or nuts behind this crowfoot and move the crowfoot back towards the rear of the pump about 1/2 inch. Run the front nut back to tighten the crowfoot down against the rear nut. I never move the crowfoot over 1/2" at a time, sometimes it might take a second adjustment, but most times once is enough.
If it smokes too bad just keep moving it back towards where it started out til you get happy with power and smoke output. Mark the threaded shaft as to where the nuts are before you start with so you can measure and if you should want to set the pump back to where it was.
