I've got Line-X, and it's held up well against what I'd call the middlin' (not mild, not heavy) abuse I've put to it. I TRY not to throw stuff onto it that would dent the bed (not always successful), but I've dragged pickup rear-ends as an example over it.
In line with the thread down below, I had a factory bedliner. Didn't replace it with the Line-X until I put the gooseneck ball (B&W) in. Scared me right to death to see the chafin' and rust that had been goin' on in the year and a half that that bedliner was in there. I'd think a mat for a spray-on like Rhino or Line-X would add to the longevevity. Put a mat over that if your gonna be tossin a lot of stuff.
