Supply and demand. There is only so much recoverable oil in the ground. Demand is increasing as China & India modernize and try to have the luxuries that Americans/Westerners think are only their constitutional right. You haven't seen anything yet for prices. Next step is multi-billion dollar investment in coal liquification and digging up most of Pennsylvania. It isn't being over educated. It's getting over the fact the west has been pampered and spoiled. With you, trucker40 and others now throwing a hissy fit like a three year old on the grocery store floor.
