I believe IH 8-16, for which a special tractor binder was developed about 1918. I believe that the idea came from an experiment in France with a tractor driving a binder. The McCormick Deering 10-20 and 15-30 were available with a PTO attachment from start of production and the first Farmalls and right through the F-20, F30 and F-12 had a pto as standard fitting.
