Yeah it's happened to several of us through the years.
These guys who tell you to do it this way probly plug their 110 volt battery chargers into a 220 volt plug in. Same difference only a circuit breaker will flip and save your life maybe. When you go 12 volt to 6 volt, that battery is gonna come looking for you quick, quick as in kaboom.
The only way I can get it to work anywhere close to right is to touch the 12 volt to the starter selonoid of the 6 volt system and crank it that way. Battery to battery it will explode.
