To remove the glue I use a product called (d-Limonene). I get it from Greenway Chemical Company Knoxville,TN. 1-800-258-5829. Apply it with a pump sprayer, allow it to sit for 1-2 minutes and the glue will wash off with soap and water and or a pressure washer, preferably a hot water washer. Make sure and wash it completely off of the vehicle because when the d-limone evaporates the adhesive will still be sticky. d-limonene evaporates quickly and water will neutralize it. Decal removal, DO NOT USE A PROPANE WEED TORCH! If you heat the decal too hot the glue will set and become very difficult to remove. I do not like a heat gun either. I use a hair dryer, rule of thumb is if you cannot hold your hand on the metal you have too much heat. The best removal I have done was in direct sunlight 80+ degrees the decals and most of the adhesive came off together. I would like to watch a professional remove the graphics off of a Half Million Dollar Bus to obesrve his methods. I have been told that they use heat lamps. I have not found an easy method.
