How do you determine the year on this thing?? It says made in USA on the back of it, and the model number is 917.254631 the sears site with parts on it was pointed out (thanks IH). It has a burned valve according to the guy who came and got my snapper (no wonder i couldnt smooth it out) but it runs fine at full throttle. I got the lights working, and today i rode my bike 2-3 miles into town this morning, then to the other side of town, and then home. Belt was a foot too short. Nice. Real Nice.
I did however get a set of plugs and wires for my B, and i can figure out how to get them wires into the mag. The directions are vague at best. The dude who was there had only hooked them up to distributors, so hows this work with my mag?? The wires have some sort of copper core, surrounded by what looks like cloth or cotton or something, with a bunch of cap like things and bronze colored things with it.
Manuels basicially said strip 5/8 inch of wire and inset into mag. Also said made in china. The back was in spanish.
