You might check the Ford board. In the late '50's, early 60's Ford had a factory kit to do that. Part of the appeal was that it could be done in a couple hours or so. It was one way to concentrate horsepower. You really would wonder how interesting that arrangement would be if something went wrong, regardless of what color paint was involved.
