I drive 50 miles round trip to work every day. I try not to travel from the office to other businesses if I can help it. I used to drive 150 miles north to trout fish; didn't at all last summer. I refuse to let the truck sit in the driveway all weekend if there's something close I want to do--auctions tomorrow. My daughter also goes to school in the town I work and I won't deny her the opportunity to attend dances or parties or other events because of fuel prices. We just cut back in other places.
I feel for the families working for $8-10 an hour and have to buy gas at these prices or farmers with fuel costs. You guys don't have much choice; you need to plant, spray, etc. Not many ways to cut down on fuel.
Don't see much coming from either party, except whatever get's them elected. Then they forget.
