I suppose eventually everyone will use synthetics. Several new vehicles come with them in the rearend, tranny, and or crankcase. Why not a sudden change? Probably the same reason you are just now switching to 30" rows. Wide rows worked for ya so why change. What you don't realize is the small benefits of the change add up eventually. Be it oil or row width. And I can prove that with Amsoil it is cheaper to use it than use a conventional oil. Of course you can go 35k on conventional oil but that is really pressing your luck.
