Did you dump the load from the bucket as soon as you realized you were in trouble? Sometimes that weight difference is enough to save the tractor.
Try to remind her that SHE is the one that wanted the dirt moved, you were just trying do what she wanted. That explanation doesn't work in my house, but its always worth a shot.
