About 10 years ago I had an old 67 Ford one ton That sat in an old isolated barn for about 4 years without being touched. I thought it was a shame to let it set there and rust when there might be someone who would like to restore an old truck so I ran an add to sell it. 2 days later I had a buyer. I was busy and didn't have time to go get it until about an hour before he was supposed to meet me. I took a new battery and fresh gas, poured a little gas down the carburator and about 10 turns it fired up and purred like a kitten. It was about a mile to my house so I drove it down a farm road and backed it up where it would look good when my buyer drove up. Well he drove up just as I was parking it. Just as I was about to get out and meet him and brag about how it started up I felt something move under my butt. It felt kind of creepy so my first reflex was to sling the door open, leap out and run. He was watching me the whole time. Just as he got out of his truck a 7 foot black snake dropped down off the running board and slithered off into my tractor shed. He went ahead and bought the truck but he and his buddy spent an hour going thru the cab digging and poking with sticks to make sure there was not another one in there. He put on a dealer tag and drove it home.
