backhoe problems

I have a backhoe and frontend loader on a B275 IH. The tractor has a splitter beside steering wheel to work the hoe or front bucket. Hoe worked fine yesterday,tried to use today and the back end had no power. I could barely get bucket off the ground. the front bucket works fine. I know the problem has to be in the hydro. splitter. is this an expensive part to buy or is it a simple fix? THANKS in advance. harold b
