My dad saw a bobcat 20 years ago near his home, M-59/I-94 area. He was shocked, but there was an area that had been cleared for businesses and homes, ran the animals out I guess. There is Bear in the lower Penn. now, a roofer that did some work for me 7 years ago said he saw a black bear crossing the freeway 1 hour south of Traverse city over 10 years ago now.
Makes me want to only walk my land with a loaded rifle or shotgun.
