Always lock my vehicle. Keep house locked (especially when home), horse trailers locked, barn locked, gates locked etc. We pull the couplers off the goose neck trailers and store in a locked location. I pull the coupler out of my big aluminum goose neck horse trailer, run a logging chain through a pipe "T" which I put up in the nose of the goose neck then around the nose frame and secure with the biggest pad lock I could find to keep a thief from just inserting a coupler and driving off with it. Of course, we are in Dallas and they will steal anything. Had my truck box broken into twice in broad daylight in an open lot. People will use the bed of your pick up for their trash can. Right now we have some yahoos setting cars on fire. They've burned 16 so far. Burned a sheriff's squad car last night. Life in the city. Ain't it fun.
