my 86 olds gets locked at work but the key stays in the ignition only the key no ring but I only lock it to keep the rummaging Mexicans out not all do but the ones that do make it necessary. at home the truck car and tractors have keys in them from time to time some times as long as months. The only car that gets locked is my wifes Mustang she loves that thing and always keeps it locked even at home.
