But others say it wouldn't change much. Even if Americans abandoned their cars, global emissions would fall by less than one percent.
So the automobile is the nations biggest polluter (and we are the worlds biggest or next to it) and if we abandoned them altogether global emissions would fall less than 1%?
That doesn't add up, from what I understand they only count for about 25% of the nations pollution, the rest comes from industry.
