I know of a sherif like that. Old friend of mine's dad shot his fool self in the leg a few years ago. Called 911 before he passed out. Came too for a little while, sherif was in the house going through his brief case, he had sold a skidder the day before and had $4000 cash in there. Passed out, came too again and they were packing him out of the house on a stretcher. EMTs left the sherif at the house when they took him to the hospital. His daughter got to the house half an hour later, total ramsacked, pain killers, gun, cash, all gone. No one saw nothing.
