yeah that's why if anyone strange comes around, i stand at the door and watch them with a wepon in hand...just in case they "wonder" around. if they just go to the barn or shed i shoot in the air to let them know where i am and that i have a deadly wepon in hand. a while back, a couple kids came to my house with a bolt cutters and some gas cans. they cut the lock on my gas barrel and helped themselves...until i fired off my 12 gauge into the air. buy they ran like mad! they didn't make off with anything but i got 2 free gas cans and a brand new bolt cutters! oh and i always have a knife in my pocket anyways for farm reasons too. Today's Featured Article - Show Coverage: Argyle and Mt. Pleasant Labor Day Weekend Shows - by Cindy Ladage. The last fling before summer fades into fall and we get busy in the fields are the annual Labor Day tractor shows. Beginning on September 5th and running through the 7th, the Argyle Antique Gas and Engine Show is held at the Argyle State Park. Located in West Central Illinois, the pine forest was the setting for the opening of the 22nd show.
