Get a filter and a screen for the trans and change it out. There could be metal particles and such in the screen, this needs to be cleaned out. I did a 1200 DB trans for a friend of mine, changed the fuel filters, engine oil and oil filter. The screen had metal filings in it and a filter that hadn't been changed for a long long time..then just cycle the steering and hydraulics until they start to work properly, they bleed the air out themselves, I used hytrans fluid in it and everything is working fine. Yours must be older than the one I did because it had hyraulic oil in it and I replaced it with hydraulic HyTrans
