I was doing some harrowing one time witht the Case 1270. It was night and I just finished up the field and was pulling out of it into a small grass strip next to it to unhook the harrow for the night and the tractor suddenly wouldn"t steer. Turns out the front was into the mud about a foot, I thought it would get better so I tried to keep going and it only got worse to the point the whole tractor was stuck. The front axle was buried to the point were you almost couldnt see it anymore and the transmission was starting to dig a trough about 6 inches deep into the mud from working back and forth. Had to get another tractor to drag the harrow out of the way and then tried to back the tractor out but it wouldn"t budge. Left it sit till the next morning to get it out. Our next biggest tractors at the time were two farmall M"s. It took both of those tractors plus our Case backhoe in front of them and the 1270 itself to get it pulled out backwards finally. Boy did I ever get to hear it from my pop that day. I think I washed about 300lbs of mud off the thing that day. (LOL)
