This is just a notice about Deweze hydraulics on Ford F-550 , 6 liter diesel engines...Waterpump pulley is defective and will crack and self destruct at about 45,000 miles..This causes the serpentine belt to get cut and you will loose power steering..I've got 2 consecutive serial number trucks , both equipped identically, both self destructed within weeks of each other..I inspected the latest trucks pulley yesterday and it was good / no cracks...This morning it blew apart and caused the demise of a $ 120.00 serpentine belt...The belt is not available from anywhere but Deweze..The new replacement pulley is 3 times the thickness of the original equipment part..Good news...The new pulley is made in Korea, so it's gotta be good...
