Friend of mine has an old 479. When you lower the sickle to cut the outside(farthest away) from the PTO hangs down further and drags in the dirt. Because of this you have to keep the sickle up higher, which does not allow for a better cut on the grass. He brought out an old skid shoe he said came off the bottom but New Holland says the only skid shoe is under the gear box. Any one have a good diagram or seen this problem before? Thanks
