Another Michigan report: Got quite a shot of rain this morning, temps in the low 40's. Lost a lot of ice off the roads due to melting. Back roads were a sheet of ice this morning. All the area schools closed - too unsafe for buses. County road commission came thru with a motor grader this morning, front wheels turned about 15 degrees, going straight down the road. Wasn't doing much to break up the ice on the road either. Temp is down to 28 and what didn't melt is froze up harder than a rock.
