What I read years ago was that you get 70 one pound loaves of bread out of one (60 pound) bushel of wheat, because of the ingredients you add. Divide the price per bushel by 70, and it gives you the pennies per one pound load. When wheat was $3.50...divide by 70, you get a nickels worth of wheat in a loaf. $14 wheat equals 20 cents per ONE pound loaf.
