Welcome Ag Guy.
If you'll search the archives under Research and Info, in the menu bar to your left there are several good articles about these things.
Also go to the Market Place, top left column here then go to Parts&Supplies. There are videos for sale there that cover just about anything you would want to know about restoring old tractors.
You sure need to be careful tho, fixin up this old iron is a very addictive hobby.
Roam around the different forums here at ytmag and feel welcome to ask questions, there are some of these folks who are very good with info about what you're attempting to do.

For several years I had been driving by a farm house on the west side of Indianapolis that had a John Deere combine parked in high weeds in a lot behind the house. The gentleman no longer farmed because the entire area was developed with housing and light industry. I had stopped several times and knocked on the door but no one would answer.
