From what I have seen on those 20 and 30 series 2 cyl. it would not suprize me one bit to open it up and find the top piston rings either severly worn and have alot of groove side play and/or be BROKEN into pieces. If you plan on doing much hard work like plowing you should continue to see it get worse as time goes on.
