When I was still working on the farm my boss had a field leveled so we could ditch irrigate it. They didn"t rebury the natural gas line so it was about 6 inches deep at the one end. They didn"t tell me this and so when I was finishing the last furrow I hooked on to it ( 2 inch line). I didn"t realize it until I got out and opened the gate. It was whistling so loud it was deafening. It took the gas company 4 hours to fix it and there were a lot of unhappy neighbors. Turns out the gas company turned the line over to my boss since he didn"t want anyone hooking on to it. It cost them $600 to fix it, that fall I was burying it 2 feet deep.
