If something isn't done to counter the feel good crowd that espouse human conditions for beasts.....the consumer will not able to afford to buy a pound of beef due the costs associated with appeasing the animal rights nuts.
The FDA and USDA does their job and does it well. The only problem that exists is with the animal rights wackos. Anybody that has truly been raised on a farm and has dealt on 24/7 basis with 4 legged beasts knows the reality of dealing with them.
