I used to be closed minded and owned nothing but Chevy's. Used to have to constantly be fixing them too. I finally got more open minded and looked around more when I bought my 1996 Dodge Ram ext. cab. I almost bought a brand new Ford but found this Dodge used. At that time nobody had more cab room than the Dodge and that was what I needed at that time so I bought it. Well it has 176,000 miles on it and has been the least trouble of any truck I've owned so far. If I was going to get a small truck Toyota would be my first look. Do yourself a BIG favor and look at other brands. As like you said your 01 Chevy with only 60,000 mi. is falling apart. That has been my experience with them also.
