Kinda of a circular thing- companies go to the cheapest resource source until that country gets more affluent and then they move on. In time all countries will get wealthier and there won't be a cheap resource and then it is a whole new ballgame. Look at Japan of 30 years ago and look at them now. They got high labor and other resource cost just like we do. Oil is another good example, was dirt cheap until Opec got their stuff together. It is a natural evolution, where in a country does what it can best do, we are shifting to services in high tech, education, medicine and information technology. Doesn't help the people lost in the shuffle but it is inevitable. bo
