Anyone ever talk to the young kids without acting like it is my way or the highway? You might be supprised if you get down to their level when they trust you.

First off all kids are not bad kids, like us on this board they have a opinion like we all do. Overall this board is top the line. Yet there are a few that come down on alot of others to piont out their views. Not always in a nice way. The rest of us are uncomfortable often when the name calling starts etc.

As a child my folks raised their voices at each other when I was probably ten. I did not sleep for a week wondering what was going to happen. Kids nowdays are forced to deal with divorces, step parents etc.

My kids are pretty well behaved and never got into any trouble--that I know of. We do visit and put things out in the open.

They drill me once in a while about my way of thinking about the good ol days. They have very tough questions, all in fun and to make me wake up perhaps.

Don't tell me dad our religon is the right one just because grand parents said so, and we learned from them. Who do we worship? A unwed mothers child? Why don't we worship say buda? Why are there so many RIGT religions--EVERYBODY ELSE IS on the wrong tract right dad, even though we use the same good book?

How many of your generation had bride dressed in white? How many girls went to the city to help a aunt? --after gaining a few unexplained pounds?

Charles Manson, was born after 1970 dad? or part of your great old generation? Did he play to many video games? Did his teacher spank him? Did us kids make all you old guys get a divorce dad? ---THAT is not a question I tell them just a fact!

Long hair is bad--(All my kids are clean shaved, and short hair). Did Our founders or our Lord shave clean with a rock or what? Or did some kids rebel against society and get the short hair cuts. Check it out dad there are articles that say those kids were posesed by the devil when they started using straight razors. Bad Kids ya think dad?

Did we not watch wrestling, boxing, war movies, and was there any violence in the western movies. Bonnie and Clyde ring a bell. Did any kids get the crap kicked out of them just because some bigger kid could do it? Did kids make fun of the teachers behind their backs, Did any kids do some mean things to their teacher?

My children came from a divorced home, mom and dad had to work. Did grandma work outside the home, or was she there 24/7 for the kids. Did'nt most of your generation have farms where dad and kids were together for something besides sports?

Did your church, school etc. not tell you to keep the family thing going as they handed out the schedule--thus making the kids go somewhere almost every night and away from mom and dad?

Did older generations set a example of clean living by killing off the indians, beating slaves, rebeling against the rule of their old country government? With guns?

How many wars did we participate in, were guns used in them to point out who is right or wrong? Then this weapons of mass distruction thing gets tossed down my throat--or as one of the kids call invading a foreign country to overthrow their government against the Ganeva convention, and with out the support of the united nations?

Wasn't their just as many if not more bank robberies years ago? I'll bet more train robberies! We still on the same page dad?

Don't you old folks gossip more than the kids do? OK ----now they got me on the run!

You don't believe in abortions do ya dad? You do think that a dozen folks can put a man to death though right--Thou shall not kill dad? Yet once a kid is born do ya think they should get fed and a fair shake in life or are they just lazy welfare rats? Or were all of the older generation just smart enough to get rich without any breaks or hand me downs. You would rather invest in the better other countries with your tax dollars. Now is when I inform them I'm starting to believe more in abortion once the three of them gang up on me.

We got to many credit card debts, can't manage money? Whats are national debt? Us young kids blamed for that to I suppose? We no doubt elected the very honest politicians dad? Us young kids decide who gets light sentences if any in the court system? How many young kids are judges and politicians? Did the Playboy Club get big and the Playboy magazine get alot of business from us kids or your generation?

Oh sure they went where they should not go, and so far great kids, but they do think independantly, must have got that from their moms I'm guessing! But you know what? There are alot of very caring kids out there that don't make the news, smart ones that are far smarter than most of us.
