That one you might want to report. I would just contact the school directly and talk to them. When they know who is making the claims they will put a lot more stock in it rather than some completely anonymous phone call that could easily be a prank. But, I would ask them to not tell the kid or his parents who told on him, which they probably wouldn't anyways, but it would be a good idea to remind them of this anyways. Kinda sad that the kid will get busted IF he has the gun on him and he will be served with a mighty hefty penalty for bringing a gun to school which will probably ruin his future. Hard enough to get a job with a sqeeky clean record these days. Its a tough decision to make and one that if you don't tell and he ends up shooting someone, you are going to feel responsible, but as the same time you hate to ruin a kid's future. You could try talking with the parents of the kid who has the gun, but god knows how that could turn out, they might thank you or they might get nasty and you suddenly got enemies for both you and your son.
