My dad had an 84 F-350 crewcab with a 460 and C-6 in it. It had in 3 engines and 3 transmissions. Each had basically 300K on each with nothing wrong when they overhauled them. The original block had 600K on it. In the end the truck had 890,000 on when he sold it and it still looked in real good shape. He hauled campers from the factory all across the U.S. Good thing he doesn'thave that today at 4 mpg loaded. His buddy had an 88 Ford with a 7.3 diesel that had 750K on the original engine, and around a million on the transmission. The truck last I knew had over a million miles on it.
