I'm not ignoring the axle pivot -- it's just not necessarily true that you've "reached the point of no return" by the time the axle stops pivoting. This depends on several factors including how uneven the ground is.


I did not mean to say that the wide front was MUCH more stable (especially given that the point where the most difference is present is located farthest from the greatest amount of mass -- near the front wheels). I just wanted to point out that the description of the stability polygon was not quite correct.


Maybe I could have been a little clearer.
