90% chance it is 6volt. But do not worry unles you intend to run it on 24 volts, it would be happy with 12 volts. The series wound starters found on old equipment only run one direction, and are not sensitive to doubling the volts. They will crank faster, and start the unit quicker, and be operated less as a result of the reduced time on task. I crank a 1957 CJ3B jeep starter with a 900 CCA 12volt. At 10 below it starte within 3 seconds of cranking. JimN
