Tyre chain improvement

Thanks to you guys who suggested I fit chains for snow/ice work. Got them, and it works fine.

At first I had some trouble getting the chains snug on the wheels, the chains were old used ones, not exactly right size. It seemed hard or impossible to pull the slack out using the fitted catches. So I connected the chains up loose, then I used a length of cable threaded around, in between the cross-chains, to pull the chain snug after hooking up the catches.

If this tip is of interest, I could post a better description.
