And it is a Schrader valve, named after it's inventer and is THE valve used in all tires up to and including OTR truck tires; one size fits all.
There are 2 seals to lock in the air. One you see as the black ring in the picture. To see the other, push in on the pin and on the right side of the pic, the bulge moves out and the second seal is there.
If either are damaged, or loose, the stem will leak.
