I"ve farmed on my own for 35 years, been involved in two of these. Those pictures are in my "keeper file". First time it was nine of us, pulling 37 bottoms. Plowed for a distant neighbor who owned an 80 across the road from us, plus his home place. His ankle broke, dropping a stalk hopper on it. Second one was a mile away- neighbor was in the VA hospital, and three of us baled 40 acres one afternoon, with about a dozen guys unloading thrower wagons. After starting farming from scratch, it was nice to have some dependable equipment to use to pay back some of those that helped us in the early years.
