: I just bought an old 1940 farmall B and it ran once
: before I got it. Now it doesn't appear to be getting
: gas because the spark plugs aren't wet. It does have a spark. After I crank it over, gas
: pours out of the air intake - this doesn't seem right.
: What would cause this? I have checked for vacuum leaks
: and it has ran about 3 weeks ago so the cylinders
: shouldn't be dry.
: My thought right now is that maybe it is getting gas
: but the gas is too old to start it up. I'm going drain
: it and start with fresh gas

: Any Suggestions?

Dave, do check the quality of the fuel. Assuming that it will start a fire, I am going to suggest that the problem is ignition; it's almost always ignition but certainly water contaminated fuel can get you on trouble.
Let me know how you come out after checking the fuel quality (be sure to drain the carburater). I can make this thing run over the phone.
Good luck,
Curt
