I gotta side with the guys who discourage these. I have several and use them to catch really stubborn coons that steal from the box traps. Set them around the outside. The result in the AM is never pretty to look at. Better to shoot them in the live trap. My favorite trap, however, is the conabear which kills them within a minute or two if it is the right size for the critter. Caution though, I found the farm dog from across the street in mine one morning. Shouldn't have been over here inside my fence but she was. She was alive and gasping for air and mighty grateful when I got that thing opened. So was I cause I thought I killed my friends dog! Took her a while to get home but she survived and never come back.
