We have a daughter living in DC. We were just there last October, usually make it every year or two, and she flies out here once or twice a year.
There's so much to see/do in DC, it takes a week to realize you haven't scratched the surface. They're not too long on farm stuff, though. Once when our daughter gave me a gift certificate to Amazon, I bought a couple of old tractor books. Her (then) boyfriend couldn't figure out why on earth anyone would want old tractor books.
One exception to the above is Mount Vernon. George Washington was very much into farming and ecology and even had a pit to turn manure into compost. On the estate at Mt. Vernon, there are still original hog pens with the breeds GW raised, etc, plus some of the period equipment, stable with horses, etc. It's worthwhile to visit.
