Is it diesel or gas? Automatic or Manual. I worked for a autosupplier in the 90's that made a key component for the automatic trans and that trans is junk, worst warranty of all 5 automatics in that day. The Ford Sharonville plant in the Cincinnati area is run by idiots....yes total idiots. That plant makes the automatic trans for the F series trucks. As far as the Diesel motor goes.--- Very good friend works for Ford (engine dept in dearborn Mi.) and the Diesel is made by International, which I am sure you know and the Warranty cost is killing Ford to the tune of $1 billion/year because of fuel rail problems, turbos, etc. I had a 1992 F-150 I sold it for $700 at 110,000 miles due to rust and I didnt need it anymore. Overall a good truck but the inside was cheap and needed some beef to it. 5 speed manual worked great in it and was great in all weather.
